And It's A....

YUP!!!!! It's a girl!!!! I will upload the ultrasound photos later b/c I am back at work! That is just a lil dress we picked up at Old Navy a few weeks ago hanging on the frame in her nursery. Probably will paint the frame another color now...

She waved at us... made sucking movements w/her mouth, had her hand up by her head... We got 2 3D shots... We'll get some more later. She is just darling!

Oh... and by the way...Her name is...

JOSEPHINE WRYNN ULMER... We will call her JOSIE!

She weighed appox. 9.5 oz.

Heart Rate was 135.

We nailed down her name about 2 weeks ago I think... so it was really funny to see how many ppl suggested Josephine.

As for the winner of the RAK... the first person to suggest JOSEPHINE was

JENNIFER COMPTON so Jennifer, I will be emailing you for your address today!

I do a little something that has some cause for concern...

Posterior Placenta Previa.

My midwife says that it could've been the way Josie was laying... she was face down and very low... but the placenta could move later on as my uterus grows. I will have another ultrasound at 28 weeks to see it's position. If the status is the same... looks like I'll be delivering Josie via C-section. Praying that the placenta shifts w/the growing uterus... but if it doesn't, as long as I deliever Josie and she is happy and healthy, I don't care how to get her outta me. The most important thing to us is that she and I are healthy. So we are ok. I am going to start doing some research on Placenta Previa and educate myself so if you have any links to share or sites, please do. Im a avid visitor of BabyCenter so I will be checking there first.

I also will have another ultrasound in 3 weeks to re-measure Josie's head. She was so low and laying in such a way that it was really hard to get a good measure on it. So we will get some more 3D pics then too!

So that is the latest!

We are just so elated!! Josh was grinning ear to ear. He was hoping it was a girl... He has 2 sisters so he was really hoping for a lil baby girl!

18 weeks...LUXE RAK...BabyNames

Good Morning!

Great weekend spent with family... like usual. I love that. We went to go see my Dad play on Saturday night. Date night! Got a lil dressed up and listened to some fun live music! My dad and Angie are Oliver-Kelly. We did a Publicity shoot for them earlier this year. Alot of the photos are in their gallery and the one on the homepage is one that we did. Lots of fun!

18 weeks belly shot...It's finally getting out there!

Now... Josh and I have several names picked out already since we find out the gender on Friday...but...I want to do a NICE LUXE RAK... and I'd like to hear from you guys on baby names!

So...from now til Thursday... I want you to leave me...

A GIRL NAME AND A BOY NAME.

Now... so you know what we like... we want something...

1. Unique

2. Has some vintage charm

3. Is NOT traditional

So leave me a comment w/ a boy and girl name that fits that description and we will pick our favorite name on Friday and post it along w/the gender and the baby name we pick...

Now... **disclaimer...I am not saying we will name our baby the name we pick for the RAK...we have some names that we came up with... but we want to get some more suggestions and figure this is a fun way to do it...but if we like the winning name better than the ones we have picked out... we just might use it!**

So there you go! I just got a HUGE box of LUXE and some other fun goodies that Im dying to share so... go find some unique, charming names! You have til Thursday night!

So my appetite is growing tremendously... But, if I eat a big lunch, I usually don't eat at much at dinner but am waking up at 2am with my stomach just rumbling! Josh made a great suggestion... I should get up when Im hungry... grab some crackers or toast w/Peanut butter and go into the nursery and lay on our vintage fainting couch we have in there for when we lay down with the baby. Great suggestion hubby!

Lil Bit's nursery is finally cleaned out! It had tons of things in it of Josh's grandmother's and my MIL came over this weekend and got it all cleaned out! So we have the furniture in there... Going to pick up the crib from Annie(step mom) this week... We have a dresser that Josh is going to repaint white and we have a lower dresser that we are going to retouch w/the white paint and add some 1x2's to the section that will have the changing pad on it and we've got our changing table! And then we have this great vintage fainting couch from Josh's grandmother's farm house in Missouri and we will put a lil end table next to it. It will be so great for when we are going to just rest with the baby and be away from the dogs and still be able to lay down.

Im so excited to get the nursery together... We will probably start in the next couple weeks and start w/the paiting!

Well, leave us some baby names and I'll pick our favorite on Thursday night and post it Friday along w/the gender of LIL BIT!

Thumps

Yup... that is exactly what they feel like.. and now JOSH knows! He was able to feel Lil Bit's lil thumps last week! We are also able to see those lil thumps through my belly now! It is so amazing. I just stare forever at my belly sometimes laying on the couch watching!

God bless the Bella Band. I am NO where near the size of even the xtra small maternity jeans... I tried several on and they were swimming on my lil legs and bum still! So Im just getting some serious usage out of my normal jeans and my Bella Band. I imagine I'll just go up in jean size and not really need maternity jeans til my legs and bum start to fill out toward the end. I had to go get some new kackis for work on Friday's... I grew out of my other ones in the hips. Couldn't pull them over my hips anymore...So I got a pair at Target... Jrs. size 5. Still have some room in them to grow but they still look like they fit too...My jeans I could use another pair or 2 in a bigger size... prolly a 5 too... but I'll hold out for a lil longer. I got some more shirts for work for the fall.. just some good solid long sleeve shirts from Target w/some room for my growing belly. Things are moving right along... I've gained 11 lbs so far. Nice and gradual. Doing some light weight lifting in the gym 2 days a week... just some arm, back, shoulder and leg workouts... to make sure to keep my posture in check w/this growing belly. Walking 2 other days of the week. Most of the time eating Josh under the table now! He cracks up at how much Im eating now! haha

I just love this photo...I had Josh take it so I can document him feeling Lil Bit's thumps for the first time! Notice the little mole on my belly button... haha Should be funny to see how that lil mole looks in about 3 months! haha

Oh, Josh's new job... he is working for the Southern Baptist Convention in Nashville. He is really enjoying it! He is working with some pretty amazing people and will have some wonderful opportunities!

Nothing else new really to update... Just been really soaking this all in... being able to really feel Lil Bit has been a HUGE thing... when we first found out we were pregnant, we talked about what would make it all feel so "real"... and feeling Lil Bit move was what we said... so now that it's here... it's been something we are trying to really soak in and cherish.

Moments

Yes... being pregnant has made me cherish every moment even more than I did before. I finally scrapped! Simple... yet perfect... our Lil Bit's first layout from Mama!

 

I used the some photos Josh took at our first ultrasound at 10 weeks. I love that our ultrasound place is so awesome about letting us take pictures of the screen! That way it gives us so many more than the 4-6 they print out for you! I love the ModaBella line from AC... the colors make me happy.

This whole approaching motherhood thing has great a lot of amazing emotions for me. Some that I really can't even describe really. I have kept a journal... I haven't written in it enough... I will start writing more. It's very overwhelming to think of the words that even come close to what this feeling is like... especially having a rough childhood w/my own mother... so being a "mother" is something I am so very passionate about.

I have started to feel Lil Bit's first movements! Monday morning, I rolled from my side to my back and laid my hand on my stomach like I usually do, hoping to feel something, and I did... I felt a lil kick on the inside on my hand! I have felt the early flutters before this too, but this was the most distiguishable kick. It was so awesome! I don't have much "padding" over my uterus so my midwife said I would probably feel the baby sooner. Im feeling the baby flutter right now as Im typing! Lil butterflies! Josh can't wait til he can feel the baby... and he keeps asking every week... "Can the baby hear my voice yet?"... which I think is so precious. He can't wait to start talking and reading to Lil Bit. I told him next week Lil Bit should be able to start to hear the outside world. 17 weeks.

My eating has definitely kicked up too! It feels so good to crave food and be hungry! I "out-ate" Josh last nite! haha

We have picked out 2 paint colors... Both green. One is a lil darker which will probably be if Lil Bit is a boy...and the lighter color if Lil Bit is a girl...

So that is the current colors for the nursery! I have a big canvas art piece that is pink, green, and yellow pears that will be the decor focus if Lil Bit is a girl. So cute! Ill post a photo of it soon. If it's a boy... not quite sure what the "decor focus" will be. Nothing sports or jungle theme... Josh and I are NOT sports people... and don't really care of the colors of all the "jungle" theme stuff... All of the furniture is white... we are using my younger brother's crib, who is now 10. We have a white dresser we will use for the changing table and we have a hutch that we will paint white that is currently brown, and we will get a white glider.

So that is the latest... Ill be back this week w/a 16 week belly shot... and maybe another layout!

Mama's Got a New Ride

Well, Josh got a new job... he drives to downtown Nashville everyday... in our only car that we shared while he was in school. So... now he has a GREAT job downtown... and MAMA needed a new car... We knew we wanted an SUV... for the baby... for the camping we love to do and can't wait to do w/our kids... and the many road trips we love to take... and this is what we came home w/after test driving several... Meet RUBY!



Only had 1 other owner... it's practically brand new inside... smells like a new car...I love it!
Things are going great... haven't been sleeping too much.. still waking up several time a night... and now I seem to be waking up at like ...4 am... ready to go! It's starting to drive me a lil crazy.
I have a new belly shot to share... Now... some of this is bloatedness b/c it was after work so I ate throughout the day... but here ya go... 15 weeks 4 days!

Im wearing my Bella Band every day pretty much... but still in pre-pregnancy pants! Im going to try and hold out as long as I can... especially since the weight I've gained so far... about 7 lbs... is all in my belly... so my legs still fit in my jeans. My hips are starting to grow out of them though which Im excited about b/c I never really had any hips!

Still haven't scrapped... Haven't had much time... Still trying to relax when I can... and this whole looking for a car for me has been driving us crazy pretty much w/comparing... test driving... searching... so Im glad that is finally over! I can now start to concentrate on some scrappin!
Well, Im off to bed... Just wanted to update really quick...
